It’s nearly the end of the month. So that means it’s time for a new monthly post. Look below at some games coming out in May that we’re excited for.
MotoGP™24 | PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S | 2nd May
MotoGP™ now seems to be an annual game, but it does get better each time. The 2024 version is no different in that trend.
This time around one of the new additions is the LiveGP Championships which will be a monthly challenge against the elites.
Milestone is releasing this two-wheeled racer on 2nd May 2024.
Homeworld 3 | PC | 13th May
The Sci-Fi RTS hit franchise returns. Players will be able to assume control and battle their way through fleet combat. The game will bring dazzling, fully 3D space whilst the story unfolds on a galactic scale.
I can’t recall ever actually playing a Homeworld game… Let me know in the comments if I should!
Braid Anniversary Edition | PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android Via Netflix | 13th May
Braid returns after nearly sixteen years with a beautifully remastered version made for modern platforms.
This is a game I have always been meaning to play, but never actually did. Maybe I should check out the remaster when it is released.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut | PC | 16th May
There’s no real introduction needed here. This incredible game launched on PlayStation 4 back in 2020, it later received a PS5 upgrade, and it’s now coming to PC.
I might have to purchase this as I thoroughly enjoyed it on PS4.
System Shock Remake | PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S | 21st May
The remake of System Shock launched on PC in May 2023. I must add that the original game launched over 30 years ago in 1994!
Some say that Bioshock is a spiritual sequel to System Shock. But we may never know the truth.
Either way, you can check out the remake on consoles very soon.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II | PC, Xbox Series X|S | 21st May
This is one game I am super excited for. The first was incredible. If you’ve not checked it out I recommend you do just that, make sure you have headphones on too!
The sequel will finally be released on 21st May on PC and Xbox Series consoles. I also believe it is still a day one Game Pass game.
World of Goo 2 | Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac | 23rd May
I loved the original World of Goo when it was released way back in 2008. This article is starting to make me feel old!
The sequel promises to introduce us to more ways to progress through the game. Should be fun.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Remaster | Nintendo Switch | 23rd May
This game was originally on the Nintendo GameCube back in 2004. The Remaster will see Paper Mario return to the Switch on 23rd May.
It does look like a charming game to be fair.
F1®24 | PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S | 31st May
Codemasters EA are back for their annual outing in the world of Formula 1. At heart, it’s a Codemasters game because EA bought them out and here we are.
This year there are no new drivers, but there are some new team names. There will also be new liveries from various teams.
However, that’s not all. The above are mostly more known games/developers. Below are some bonus indie titles we have seen and look forward to!
Little Kitty, Big City | PC, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S | 9th May
This game is from Double Dagger Studio and sees the player assuming the role of a cat lost in the big city. The main objective is finding your way back home.
Paper Trail | PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S | 21st May
This is a top-down puzzle adventure that is about leaving home. It’s set in a foldable paper world. It looks pretty awesome from the trailer which you can see below.
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami | PC, Nintendo Switch | 23rd May
Happy Broccoli Games is releasing this one in just under one month. You will solve crimes, but they are no walk in the pond. This casual adventure game will see players take control of a duck who is also a down-on-his-luck detective.
So there we have it. That’s some of the new games coming out in May 2024 but in particular ones we’re excited for. Whilst you wait for the games to release, how about checking out our latest news?
