On Kickstarter currently, Wéko The Mask Gatherer – a stunning looking action game where you collect magical masks. But you probably guessed it had something to do with collecting masks by the title. Would be a bit weird otherwise.
About Wéko The Mask Gatherer
Developed with Unreal Engine 4, Wéko the Mask Gatherer is a third-person role-playing/action game mixing exploration and real-time combat. In the style of a 3D action-adventure game, you will be transported to a fantastic world where you will play as Wéko, an adventurer and collector of magical masks.
The game takes place in a world that becomes gradually open for the player to explore at his will. The access to certain regions being blocked at the beginning of the game will require the completion of certain quests. Through these quests, Wéko will receive magical masks that will give him unique powers and abilities. All of which will become useful for the rest of the adventure.
In the conquest of the seven primordial masks, you will travel and fight enemies through large maps, each one more intriguing than the other.
Wéko the Mask Gatherer will be a game full of twists and turns. Choose carefully which character you want to listen to, as many will want to hurt you or discourage you in the accomplishment of your quests.

The game can be backed for as little as $19 – which is about £16. Yes, the exchange rates aren’t as good as they used to be. For that though, you get a digital copy of the game at launch (Steam-key), some unique digital wallpapers and 10 Wéko’s Emojis.
For $25 (£21) you get the above plus a digital artbook. $35 and you get everything mentioned before along with a digital OST.
There are a load of higher tiers that add benefits such as having your name in the credits, becoming a Beta Tester and being able to design your own mask for the game.
If you’re after a physical release then you’re out of luck. There’s no platform other than Steam.
