Welcome to our Thumbstick Tuesday on 7th February 2023. Before we get stuck in, below is a small note from Martin.
“I would like to issue a full apology for the lack of content over the last couple of weeks, unfortunately, my family lost my mother to an 8-year battle with COPD, so we have been grieving our loss.
I am slowly getting back into the routine of life and here we are with our latest TT. I am looking forward to moving on into 2023 and see what the year will bring us at Controller Nerds!
So here’s to my mother, now we move on to what you’re here for, the games!”
This week we’ve all been playing a variety of games, and a couple of us made some purchases.
What have you been playing? Let us know in the comments section or over on our Twitter page.

Final Fantasy XV is the fifteenth main installment in the main Final Fantasy series. The game was released worldwide on November 29, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 (supporting PlayStation 4 Pro, but optimized for the standard version) and Xbox One, and later March 6, 2018 on PC as the Windows Edition.
It was directed by Hajime Tabata, but began development under Tetsuya Nomura as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, who provided character designs for the main cast and concepts for the would be main title, with the soundtrack composed by Yoko Shimomura.
Final Fantasy XV is the first action role-playing game in the main series, and the first single-player Final Fantasy game to be released with the “games as a service” model, receiving numerous free updates as well as paid DLC and seasonal events.
Martin
This week Martin had a mostly quiet week but finished off God of War: Ragnarök on his PS5. Therefore that’s also his highlight this week due to the number of hours he sunk into it in total, which is around 95 hours.

Martin’s highlight this week is God of War: Ragnarök. What an absolutely amazing game. Martin has 100% completed the game and unlocked the platinum trophy.
Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.
Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters.
The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.
