AYANEO AIR Design Revealed

The AYANEO AIR has been revealed via a video on AYANEO’s YouTube channel.

The entry-level handheld device has also been confirmed to be equipped with an OLED screen on the ultra-thin handheld. This screen is said to have 109% of the NTSC colour gamut. It also weighs less than a Nintendo Switch OLED model which weighs 420g.

Better Watch Out, Valve

It’s also been labelled that the AYANEO AIR will be “Several times more performance than ARM-based handheld”.

Some of the features that AYANEO have mentioned are below:

  • The thin and light body is equipped with X-axis linear motor

  • Micro SD card slot

  • RGB rocker light and other configurations

So it sounds like the AYANEO AIR is going to be a good little device. I’m not sure what will be powering it, but there is mention of an AMD APU on the page. So we could be looking at the possibility of an RDNA 2 APU here. As AYANEO say on their page “Players provide surging game power.”.
