February is shaping up to be a great month for PC gamers. The next Humble Choice bundle of games has been released. At present we have 8 games plus 1 add-on, but I am also thinking we may have more games revealed later in the month as we have had in the past. Even if we don’t, the list of games that are available is probably one of the best I’ve seen in a while. GG Humble!
So what do we have this month?
Borderlands 3 plus the Director’s Cut add-on
Borderlands 3 is, of course, the fourth entry in the legendary Borderlands series of action RPG FPS games. Huh? Yeah, there was one titled Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Loot and shoot your way through the humorous worlds of the Borderlands games. The Borderlands 3 not only takes the Vault Hunters back to Pandora, but it also takes them to the outer worlds of the Cosmos.
Black Book
Black Book is a dark adventure roleplaying game based on Slavic myths. It takes place in 19th century Russia and looks pretty awesome if you ask me.
Per Aspera
Per Aspera is a planetary simulation game on a whole new level. It’s a base builder crossed with hard science fiction. The objective and your sole mission of the game is to colonise Mars. It had me sold at base builder.
Just Die Already – Old People Mayhem Sandbox
I had the chance to review Just Die Already on Xbox when I was writing for another site. It’s a fun game. You literally play as an old person and your objective is to survive being kicked out of your retirement home. I see there is now a PvP mode available which could make up for some fun times with your mates.
Before We Leave
So this is a city-builder with traits of games such as Civilization from what I can tell. Correct me if I’m wrong down in the comments.
Paradise Lost
Paradise Lost is “The last story on Earth”. It’s a first-person adventure that is about coping with loss. A friend of mine had the chance to review this before it came out. I believe he reviewed as a pretty darned good game from devs PolyAmorous.
Everhood
Developed by Chris Nordgren and Jordi Roca, Everhood “involves a red doll person trying to recover their stolen arm from Gold Pig”. This game has a few genres with a couple of them being a roleplaying game and another is a rhythm game. Interesting mix.
Calico
Calico is an open-world community sim game where your only task is an important and adorable one… Rebuild the town’s cat café and then fill it with cuddly and cute creatures. I like it, sounds quite chill.
