The new 18-minute-long gameplay video shows off some in-game footage from the upcoming narrative-driven Borderlands game. The gameplay footage was revealed during the Gearbox Showcase at PAX West.

Players can look forward to an adventure full of heartwarming emotion, a new cast, and of course, classic Borderlands humour.

For those of you who wish to watch the video, you can view it below.

The gameplay video shows players that every choice matters. Each choice will impact how the story will unfold. If you’ve played Tales from the Borderlands then you’ll know pretty much what’s going on here. The game also has a load of quick-time events, however, they look like they’ve been done pretty tastefully. Unlike Resident Evil 6. Ahem.

You may also notice that the video is in stunning 4k60. The graphics, textures, and audio all look and sound fantastic.

New Tales from the Borderlands will also bring three loveable losers for players to journey alongside.

  • Anuradha Dahr: Although Anuradha (Anu) might be uncomfortable in social settings, she has no problem solving problems! Anu can see complex calculus, probabilities, and solve puzzles with her Tech Glasses. This do-gooder dreams of a world where no one has to kill to get ahead;

  • Octavio Wallace Dahr: Anu’s adopted brother, Octavio, can be a bit full of himself. According to him, he is Meridian City’s most popular citizen with a long list of contacts to back it up. His ability to access information is like no other! Octavio’s big break hasn’t come just yet but he desperately wants to own a business and make loads of cash;

  • Fran Miscowicz: Fran brings all the action from her gadget packed hover chair. Fran’s frogurt shop was hit by a Maliwan laser, and now is out for vengeance on the people that destroyed her shop. She’ll stop at nothing to protect her friends along the way and hopefully receive the much owed insurance payout, or the insurance company is going to have to deal with her directly.

New Tales from the Borderlands will be coming to many platforms on October 21st, 2022. Literally, it’s coming to basically every platform that is still supported now. PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox One and Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch. There is currently no mention if Steam Deck will support this game or not.

If you pre-order now, you will unlock the Adventure Capital Pack which features new cosmetics for the three characters mentioned above, 10,000 in-game currency, and also an in-game FL4K Vaultlander collectible.
