Phantom Fury, the road movie-inspired first-person shooter from 3D Realms’ (Rad Rodgers, RIPOUT) is out now on PC. The game is developed by Slipgate Ironworks (Ghostrunner, Daymare 1998).
However, as the game is currently only out on PC, it is expected to launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on May 30th 2024.
Starring Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison!
The game stars the Bombshell herself from Ion Fury. Phantom Fury is set several years after the events of that game.
Shelly returns in this explosive new adventure and she’s sporting a deadly bionic arm. She embarks on a dangerous hunt to find the Demon Core. But this is a lethal artifact with unfathomable destructive power.
In Phantom Fury, players will stop at nothing to unearth every clue possible and to prevent the artifact from falling into the wrong hands.
In this first-person shooter, players will sprint through the streets of Chicago or kick up dust in Albuquerque on a rip-roaring road trip across the USA.
The game has an arsenal of more than 20 weapons. These will allow Shelly to mow down hordes of oncoming enemies. There are also fast-paced mechanics with retro inspirations that meld together for a riveting adventure.
But that’s not all as the Bombshell’s bionic arm will offer a range of combat abilities and enhancements. This will encourage creative solutions to combat encounters against hellish cyborgs, grotesque mutants, and super-enhanced soldiers.
The game is available now on Steam for £20.49. It also has a 10% discount bringing the cost down to £18.44 until April 30th.
