Survival: Fountain of Youth, the single-player survival game set in the 16th Century Caribbean islands will soon launch version 1.0. The game is developed by Odinsoft and published by Twin Sails Interactive (Gloomhaven, Ember Knights). The game is currently available on Steam and Epic Games Store. It has been said that this game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year when the game docks onto consoles.
Set Sail for 1.0!
So, when can we expect the latest major update to Survival: Fountain of Youth? Very soon in fact. At present the team are looking to launch version 1.0 on May 21st 2024.
This latest major update will add the fifth and final region of Bimini Island. It will also add a new ship and the final boss battle. Alongside this announcement, there has been new quality of life updates implemented into the game. These include a new save system, home furniture, an improved tutorial, and others.
In Survival: Fountain of Youth players will use skill and wit to craft tools, establish their base, battle wildlife, manage resources, and uncover the mysteries of the mythical Fountain of Youth.
The new ship will also double up as a fully mobile base called the Ark. The final boss fight will show off a monster with far greater killing capabilities than any of the islands wildlife.
“As huge fans of survival games, the team has passionately spent countless painstaking hours crafting a one-of-a-kind experience for other fans of the genre,” said Stas Kotrutsa, Development Lead, Odinsoft. “We have learned so much throughout early access, taken the community’s input into consideration, and are happy to share our work with the full 1.0 release.”
