Ernestas Norvaišas and Team17 Digital have today announced the fourth major update to Sweet Transit, the strategic city builder currently available in Steam Early Access. Available today, the ‘Rail Meets Road’ update overhauls how goods are transported and how settlements are run. Players will be able to manage the logistics of their world more realistically and exercise tighter control over its operations.
The Rail Meets Road update has recently introduced several new features that have revolutionized its gameplay. One of the most significant updates is the new trading feature, which allows players to sell goods on the open market for a quick profit instead of using them for production purposes. Additionally, roads and rails have undergone major changes. Now, roads can be constructed anywhere, and although less efficient than rails, they can connect an entire map if desired. Furthermore, workers and travellers have increased intelligence, which means that multiple settlements can share them, thus bringing commuting to Sweet Transit for the first time. For more information on the Rail Meets Road update, along with all past and future updates to Sweet Transit, please check out the Steam store page.
Sweet Transit also charges full Steam Deck ahead with Steam Deck compatibility. It arrives at the Steam Autumn sale, making it currently available with a 40% discount until 28th November.
