Conscript

Word War 1 Survival-Horror Game, Conscript, is out now!

The World War 1 survival-horror game, Conscript, is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Catchweight Studio and Team17 Digital (Hell Let Loose, Undead Inc) bring this game to us.

Inspired By Classics!

The classics of the survival-horror genre inspire Conscript. This is great to see and I love when people remember the games of yesteryear and they inspire today’s creations. You know the ones, the likes of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Alone in the Dark. You’ll see what I mean by the in-game screenshot below… That door gives me serious Resi PS1 vibes! Love it.

Conscript

The game is set in the trenches of World War 1. It’s during the Battle of Verdun in 1916. Those who are brave enough to play this game will take on the role of a lone French soldier who is searching for his missing brother. You will scavenge for supplies, solve complex puzzles, and survive intense combat with enemy soldiers.

I love the aesthetic that the solo dev (Jordan Mochi) has gone for with this game. It looks absolutely class, which you will see further down the page on the trailer, as well as the screenshot below.

That hatchet looks like it could do a lot of damage to your foes. Nice.

Jordan Mochi, founder and solo developer at Catchweight Studio said:

“It’s a dream come true to see CONSCRIPT finally released.

I poured my heart into creating a game that blends the harsh realities of World War 1 with the tension and thrill of survival-horror.

I can’t wait to hear how players respond to the game and see it on the shelves.”
