Trust Gaming GXT 109 Felox Review

Welcome to my review of the Trust Gaming GXT 109 Felox wired gaming mouse. This is a super low-cost mouse that works on PC / Laptop, PS4 / PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

I say super low cost because it costs less than £15! The mouse comes in a choice of four colours. Black, white, pink, and blue. For the purpose of this review I was kindly sent a black model.

The Hardware

Straight to the point, just like this mouse, in the box, we have the Felox itself and a “Legal & Compliance Information” guide. The mouse connects via one USB cable to one USB port. There is software available for the mouse to help control things like the six programmable buttons or the RGB lighting.

The software is really easy to use even for those who are not so talented in the use of computers. The mouse is even easier to use!

Of course, you don’t have to download and install the software if you just want to use the mouse. It all works fine without the software.

This mouse fits well in the hand. I’ve tried using it with both my hands. I use a mouse with my right hand but can use one with the left rather well. The Trust Gaming GXT 109 Felox seemed to work well using both hands. Of course, doing this would make using the thumb buttons rather hard to use.

The Trust Gaming GXT 109 Felox also supports up to 6400 DPI which isn’t a terrible speed in my opinion. However, if you’re an e-sports gamer this will probably be way too low for you. But, I am not one of those. I am a person who just likes to play games for fun. This mouse helps out with that fun for sure.

The only real issue I stumbled upon while playing games with this mouse was the sensor. If I didn’t lift the mouse high enough, I found that the sensor still picked up that I was moving the hardware. Therefore, this would cause my in-game camera to move in an unwanted manner. I soon got used to having to lift it a bit higher but I thought I would mention it. Other than this, the mouse was surprisingly great to use. I didn’t expect it to feel and work so well as I am used to higher-end devices from the likes of Logitech and Razer.

Conclusions

This is a great bit of kit for the price (around £13 RRP). There are far superior mice out there, but they come at a cost. A much higher cost. This mouse is perfect for those on a very tight budget or just wanting to keep costs down for their hobby.
