The Game
If you’re not aware of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty it is an Action-RPG historical fantasy game. It has similar traits to games such as Dark Souls and Nioh. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set during the chaotic Three Kingdoms period in Chinese history (220-290 CE).
So in a nutshell, it can be a hard game. However, for the most part, as long as you’re patient, you will overcome your foes. There is a variety of ways to attack enemies, be it using swords, daggers, long swords, axes, bows, crossbows, you name it. There are a ton of different weapons to find and use on your journey through the fictional world of Wo Long.
The game is essentially a hack ‘n’ slash game but it requires more skill than just pressing buttons. The third-person perspective can be used to your advantage by peeking around corners before you run around them to scope out the area to know what’s ahead.
I recommend you do this until you get a bit more comfortable with the game and how different enemies attack you. You will also need to get used to timings for deflecting your enemies’ attacks to help stagger them as well as protect yourself.
Further into the game, you will unlock one of five divine beasts. These can assist you whilst in combat, or, they can provide some passive perks. Whichever you choose you will see some impressive stuff happen on screen and the graphics of the game shine in these particular moments.
That’s not to say that the game looks rubbish in general, because it doesn’t. It looks pretty impressive. Even on Steam Deck it looks great and runs well.

Conclusions
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is a must-play for SoulsLike fans. It has some great graphics, the aesthetic of the game is spot on, and the audio in the game fits perfectly.
Some fast-paced parts of the game keep you on your toes, and then there are also some bigger fights where you must be precise with your blocks and attacks to take your foes down.
