So, this game is a new one to me and I’ve not heard of it until today…
The awesome team that are Mad Octopus Games made us aware of this game made by their friends over at elevenBytes. The game in question is called Black Box – Hacker Day One.
As you may have guessed this is a game about being a hacker… But, there is no hand holding here. You have to figure everything out literally on your own as you go along… Just like a real hacker!
The game is a narrative-driven hacking sim and the whole game is set on a fake desktop OS. No tutorials, no menus. Just you, a terminal and a story that is set to pull you in.
In Black Box – Hacker Day One you can crack WiFi, dig through a darknet marketplace, scan ports, and also talk your way past people using real-feeling commands.

It is said that the game nails that feeling of actually hacking without it being a chore. Also, the game has 17 Steam achievements for you to try and hack your way through!
But the story is the star of this show as it is about someone who has armed their HWASONG-19 ICBMs. Multiple targets and warheads. Tokyo, Seoul, maybe more. A military strike would trigger a full-scale war and you have 72 hours to stop the warheads from launching.
Key Features:
