Players step into the boots of Angela, a veteran of the revolutionary struggle, and set off on a dark journey through the Mexican states. This fast-paced, sidescrolling shooter throws Angela against hordes of enemies, all driven by an ancient power rooted in Mexican myth. Armed with her trusty rifle and sharp reflexes, she must run, jump, and shoot her way through relentless stages!
A Land Gripped by Ancient Evil
The path ahead won’t be easy. It’s 1918, and the Mexican Revolution is drawing to a close after years of bitter fighting. Change sweeps across a weary land, but something far darker stirs beneath the surface. An ancient evil awakens, feeding on the fears and suffering of a devastated people. It drags creatures straight from Mexican legend into the waking world. Blight and darkness spread fast, and only one person can stand against them: Angela, a brave adelita with a rifle in hand. What follows will test both her physical strength and her mental endurance.
Fast-Paced Action and High Stakes
Players join Angela on this journey through polished, fast-paced gameplay. She is always outnumbered and outgunned, so speed and agility are her greatest weapons. One shot is all it takes to knock her down. Fortunately, she carries a plethora of weapons alongside her trusty rifle, backed up by special abilities and sheer determination. Even so, every encounter raises the stakes, and the challenge to players’ reflexes only grows.
The deeper Angela ventures into this nightmarish world, the more her very soul comes under threat. The wind carries wails that turn blood to ice, shadows lurk around every corner, and creatures of folk and legend leap to life with unimaginable ferocity.
Every aspect of the game draws on Mexican culture and history. “Our hope is to deliver a fun game with a unique theme, showcasing what makes Mexico and our culture special,” said Ricardo Reyes, lead programmer and pixel artist behind the game’s distinct visual style.
