Hobart-based Smash Attack Aus and USA publishing platform indie.io have announced Nullstar: Solus. The sci-fi drone 2D platformer launches on April 16, 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 & Xbox Series X|S.
Nullstar: Solus is a precision platformer where speed is of the essence. Your drone races through forgotten, overgrown chambers and corridors. Ancient dangers and hazards stand between you and the most powerful energy source in existence.

The game consists of 80 bite-sized levels. Players guide their drone through mechanical and organic hazards. Each run delivers tension and that addictive “just one more try” feeling.
Nullstar: Solus is designed to be easy to learn but challenging to master. It caters to players of all ages and skill levels. Each level offers freedom to choose your path, while the thruster system enables skilled players to pursue faster times. A harder, darker world of levels awaits those seeking greater challenges and deeper exploration.

“When we started Nullstar in mid 2024, it was a way for me to claw back some personal goals in game development.” Shared Smash Attack Aus team member Dean Baron. “I didn’t expect it to become this amazing journey where I was joined by incredible developers from all over the world. Nullstar is a love letter to games from all of us who worked on it and we are excited that it is now ready to be shared with world. Remember pilots. Be. Faster.”
Nullstar: Solus launches on April 16, 2026. It is priced at US$9.99 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 & Xbox Series X|S. More updates will be shared leading up to launch on the Smash Attack Aus’ Bluesky account.
