PUBG: Battlegrounds is Bringing Back Fantasy Battle Royale!

PUBG: Battlegrounds, the longstanding battle royale game, is bringing back the Fantasy Battle Royale mode. This mode will be available start on July 24th for two weeks on PC, ending on August 7th.

Console players can look forward to the mode hitting consoles from July 31st to August 14th.

Avada Kedavra in PUBG: Battlegrounds!

This mode originally started as an April Fools’ event back in 2020. It offers players with a choice of four unique classes. You will play as the Barbarian, a Ranger, the Wizard, or a Paladin.

Players will compete in squads of four on Dragon’s Isle… Or Erangel as we would call it usually. There will be up to eighty players per match.

Naturally, the Barbarian class excels in melee combat with a longsword. The Ranger is a specialist of long-range attacks thanks to the Dragonslayer crossbow. Watch out for the Wizard as this class can rain fire down on groups of enemies. Finally, the Paladin can support the team by healing allies. So it’s all about teamwork, which is pretty obvious.

In addition to the return of Fantasy Battle Royale, the recently launched update 30.2 reintroduces items and some new features.

Item wise, we see the return of the Tactical Pack and EMT Gear, which can now be assigned to primary weapon slots with enhanced functionalities.

The Tactical Pack offers an increase in attachment slots, whilst the EMT Gear reduces the usage time for heal items. It also increases teammate revival speed.

There’s More!

Another change is that players can now use the “All-in-One” Repair Kit three times and it occupies their secondary weapon slot.

It is said that these items all now spawn in all the playable maps in-game. Some other updates include the items that are part of the collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini.

There are also general map bug fixes that have been implemented to help improve performance, textures, and collision detection.

Some additional updates are vehicle customisation enhancements, adjusted spawn rates for the Emergency Pickup in Miramar and Rondo, as well as the Flare Gun is now in Deston.
