The wait is over as The Crown of Wu has been released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game is available in digital formats for all three of the aforementioned platforms. There is also a special boxed “Legend Edition” for PlayStation 5.
The digital Xbox release is coming soon.
The Crown of Wu is a thrilling third-person action-adventure game from developers Red Mountain and is published by Meridiem Games. It’s supported by the PlayStation Talents Program.

Of course, the game is based on the traditional Chinese tale of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. The game is also inspired by a classic Chinese novel titled Journey to the West.
The Crown of Wu narrates the adventures of Wu who is a half-monkey, half-human, after once being the emperor’s herald, began to behave in a chaotic manner due to the use of a crown that gave him extraordinary powers.
It’s like wearing it causes corruption of the heart. Eventually, Wu’s crimes and atrocities led him to be captured and condemned. He was punished by being frozen in a bio-static solution. Dozens of years have passed and Wu spent them in his almost conscious but immobile state.
Wu manages to break free from his prison and discovers a decadent world in ruins. The crown has been stolen and is being used to cause a vibration that will eventually lead to a gigantic explosion, which will cause extinction.
