Inspired by folklore and strange tales, Threefold Recital creates a fantastical Eastern world where humans, monsters, and dragons coexist. In this universe, the once-prosperous Azure Dragon City has descended into chaos. An era of Taoist magic, mechanical arts, and rediscovered ancient technology now dominates the land. Amid this turmoil, a new darkness quietly brews, setting the stage for an unprecedented crisis.
Players assume the roles of three unique protagonists, each with distinct abilities:
- Triratna, a wolf-turned-monk, can see and sever karma lines—the threads of cause and effect that connect everything.
- Taiqing, a fox-turned-priest, is an expert in transmuting substances and other Daoist spells.
- Transia, a snake-turned-artist, possesses the gift of entering paintings and altering people’s appearances.
The stories of each protagonist intertwine, leading them to converge as events unfold. Players can freely switch between these characters, utilizing their unique abilities to overcome challenges and uncover the true mastermind behind the chaos.
The game offers an estimated 10-15 hours of gameplay. Its animations are entirely hand-drawn frame by frame, vividly bringing the characters to life. By switching perspectives, players can piece together the full narrative, gaining insight into the interconnected stories.
