Welcome to my review of the iWALK PowerGrip for Apple iPhone. This is one of the latest bits of kit from iWALK who have made a number of different chargers to help us humans keep our smart devices charged whilst on the go.

The Hardware
The device comes in three colour options, black, white, and pink. I was sent the white version for my review. Not only is it a MagSafe charger but it also functions as a handy little desktop phone stand thanks to a finger ring that is built in.
Charging is super simple with this device and at under £30 it’s a great price too.
In the box we have the charger, a USB A to USB C charging cable, a user guide, and an additional stick-on magnet which is for use with older iPhones such as the iPhone 11.
Key Features:
- Designed specifically for iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
- Accurate LED Power Indicators – Battery-power LED indicator shows when the battery is full or getting low.
- 6000mAh battery with USB C charging
- 18W Fast charge via USB C
- 7.5W wireless charging
- Intelligent Temperature Control Chip – Intelligent temperature control chip controls temperature precisely to keep battery temperature low for your better use.
- Finger Ring – Built in special finger ring holder to hold your iPhone conveniently.
Connection
Of course, you can connect this to your iPhone a couple of ways. You can use the MagSafe magnetic charging feature, or you can charge your phone via the USB C connection. This is also the case for being able to charge other devices on the go such as headphones or a friends Android device via a USB C cable.
When a charge is required, you can slap it on the back of your Apple iPhone and then press the power button on the power bank. Failing that, you can connect a USB C cable as mentioned, and press the power button. I much preferred using a cable as it was so much faster.
The 6000mAh power bank itself is charged via the USB C port on the device.
Conclusions
The iWALK PowerGrip is pretty good especially for under £30. However, I do feel that it could do a lot better when it comes to the wireless charging side of things. I found myself using a USB C to lightning cable to charge my iPhone 14 Pro Max. This was nearly 3 times faster at charging than when using MagSafe. This isn’t a limitation of MagSafe as Apple sell a 15w MagSafe charger.
However, all in all, this bit of kit is pretty neat and it’s very convenient just to chuck in your bag, pocket, or whatever and leave it in there especially if you get caught out with low battery when on the go.
Should you wish to purchase your own, you can buy it now on Amazon.
I score the iWALK PowerGrip a 7/10.
