Thumbstick Tuesday – 15th November 2022

Welcome to our Thumbstick Tuesday on 15th November 2022. How was your week?

We’ve all been ramping up the hours in our games this week. Ben has been smashing hours into Football Manager 23, Brian cleared South Park: The Stick of Truth on the PS4, and Martin cleared A Plague Tale: Requiem on the Xbox.

What have you been playing? Let us know in the comments section.

Ben has been quite busy with games this week even though he went to Thought Bubble in Leeds.

  • PC
    • Football Manager 2023
    • Kena: Bridge of Spirits
    • The Darkside Detective
    • Golf Club Wasteland
  • Xbox
    • Ghost Song

Ben’s highlight this week is Ghost Song which is available to play now on Xbox Game Pass. Martin has also been playing this on his Xbox.

On the desolate moon of Lorian, a long-dormant Deadsuit awakens from slumber—armed and combat-ready, memory clear of purpose. But something new is stirring… Strike out beneath the surface in search of answers in Ghost Song, an atmospheric 2D adventure of self-discovery, ancient mysteries, and cosmic terror.

Brian has again managed to squeeze in some top-tier games to his busy schedule this week.

  • PlayStation
    • A Plague Tale: Requiem
    • South Park: The Stick of Truth
    • Soul Hackers 2

Brian’s highlight this week is starting Soul Hackers 2 on PS5. It’s one of those games he’s wanted for a while and finally bit the bullet and bought it.

The plot follows Ringo and Figue, manifested agents of the artificial intelligence Aion, as they seek and recruit people from rival groups of Devil Summoners who are key to preventing an approaching apocalypse. Gameplay has Ringo and her party exploring dungeon environments within a futuristic city, and fighting enemies in turn-based combat.

This week Martin mostly played Slay the Spire on his Steam Deck. Naturally, he played more than one game this week.

  •  PC
    • Slay the Spire
    • Vampire Survivors
    • Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
  • Xbox
    • A Plague Tale: Requiem
    • Ghost Song
  • PlayStation
    • Furi

One of Martin’s highlights this week is A Plague Tale: Requiem. It is the sequel to the smash hit game from 2019 titled A Plague Tale: Innocence. Check out Martin’s A Plague Tale: Requiem review.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is an action-adventure survival horror stealth video game developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. It is the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence (2019), and follows siblings Amicia and Hugo de Rune who must look for a cure to Hugo’s blood disease in Southern France while fleeing from soldiers of the Inquisition and hordes of rats that are spreading the black plague.
