Welcome to our Thumbstick Tuesday on 28th February 2023. Ever feel like it’s groundhog day? Same sh*t on a different day? Well, we don’t! We’ve all been playing a good variety of games between us. Martin bought a few new ones too.

Since our last Thumbstick Tuesday, Ben has mostly been playing Football Manager 2023 on his PC. God, he loves those games.

Ben’s highlight this week is Submerged: Hidden Depths on the PC. It’s been around a year since Ben actually reviewed the game. You can read his review here.

Submerged: Hidden Depths is a non-combat third-person “relaxploration” adventure, set in the sunken ruins of a beautiful world. Take on the role of Miku and Taku – one cursed with a mysterious power that she wants to use for good, the other determined not to let it tear them apart.

Since our last post, Brian has been playing a few different games as you’ll see below.

Brian’s highlight this week is The Legend of Dragoon. It recently came to PlayStation Plus as a Classics Catalogue game, it also has trophies!

The Legend of Dragoon is a role-playing video game developed by Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan, 2000 in North America, and 2001 in Europe.

Set in a high fantasy fictional world called Endiness, the game follows a group of warriors led by the protagonist, Dart, as they attempt to stop the destruction of the world.

The player controls a party of 3D character models through pre-rendered, linear environments. Combat uses a combination of turn-based mechanics and real-time commands. Notably, the game includes a quick time event called “addition” during each attack, requiring the player to press a button when two squares converge.

Martin

This week Martin spent a lot of time playing a new release, Sons of the Forest. Therefore that’s also his highlight this week due to spending 20 hours on it since his purchase on Friday.

Martin’s highlight this week is Sons of the Forest. It’s the sequel to the absolutely cracking game titled The Forest. It is also just as fun!
