Thumbstick Tuesday

Thumbstick Tuesday – 8th November 2022

Welcome to our Thumbstick Tuesday on 8th November 2022. How was your week?

Ben has been smashing through the games lately whilst Martin was mixing it up quite a bit again. We also have a new face on the team who we are briefly introducing today. More to come about Brian in the near future!

What have you been playing? Let us know in the comments section.

Ben

Ben has been quite busy with games this week.

    • PC
      • Football Manager 2023 Beta
      • Kena: Bridge of Spirits
      • Sniper Ghost Warrior 3
      • The Darkside Detective
      • Necromunda: Hired Gun
      • Golf Club Wasteland
    • Xbox
      • Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef

Ben’s highlight this week is The Darkside Detective from Spooky Doorway (Eldritch House). In Ben’s words “Darkside Detective is great fun. It’s a hilarious game and it’s made me want to buy the second one”. It’s also made Martin want to check it out again.

Brian

First of all a huge welcome to Brian. He’s now on team CN and will occasionally be writing up articles and his thoughts on games he’s played. As you know we are a casual site and want to keep it that way. Brian has managed to squeeze in some top-tier games to his busy schedule this week.

    • PlayStation
      • The Quarry
      • Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
      • A Plague Tale: Requiem – Brian is going for the platinum trophy on this one.
    • Switch
      • Sonic Mania

Brian’s highlight this week was clearing The Quarry on PS5. It’s a fantastic game from developers Supermassive Games (Until Dawn, Dark Pictures Anthology series) which has a large variety of familiar faces in the game.

Martin

This week Martin mostly played Vampire Survivors on his PC and Steam Deck. Of course, he managed to fit in more games than just that one.

    •  PC
      • The Room Two (Steam Deck)
      • Vampire Survivors
      • Teardown
    • PlayStation
      • Furi
      • Lego Pirates of the Caribbean

Vampire Survivors is actually a great game to play and is brought to us by a one-man band, Poncle. It costs just under £4 on Steam and is currently on Xbox Game Pass for PC.
