Spanish veteran independent studio Unfinished Pixel is excited to announce its upcoming title, Blightstone. This dark tactical roguelike RPG offers unique twists on combat through character placement, interactive environments, and intense resource management. The game is set to launch on Steam Early Access in 2025.
Darkness has spread across the world since a magical rift tore open the land, unleashing demons and dark forces that corrupt everything in their path. As the inhabitants flee, the land is pillaged and devastated, leaving few safe havens for the remaining population. However, all is not lost. A new turquoise-coloured mineral has emerged that appears to halt the progress of the blight.
In response to this crisis, a new party of heroes gathers to secure this precious resource and harness its power. Their mission is to combat the corruption that threatens to overrun the land before it is too late.

In Blightstone, players will engage in innovative, grid-free, turn-based combat, where environmental awareness and preparation are essential. In each encounter, party members must be strategically positioned to leverage their surroundings and overcome relentless enemy forces as well as the pervasive dark blight.
As the insidious plague spreads across the fractured world during combat and at nightfall, players must manage their resources effectively. They will need to carefully manage their equipment to survive. Although few will emerge victorious in their quests, experiencing failure is crucial for eventual success.
Earthglass shards collected from unsuccessful attempts will strengthen the guiding Crystal, fortifying future adventurers and encouraging heroes to press on for another chance at victory and freedom.
