Cold Case is a text-based detective game that arrives on Steam in the first half of 2027. Developer BANJIHA GAMES and publisher Sandyfloor have announced it. Eight unsolved cases sit inside fire-damaged files, and the right keyword is the only way to read them.
Digital forensics drive the mechanic. You enter keywords into an in-game computer to recover words and passages that the scanner could not read. Those records came from the fire-damaged home of a police inspector.
Restoring the text also reveals new clues in the photographs beside it. Fresh leads follow, along with new keywords to try. Every discovery brings you closer to solving the eight unsolved cases. The key(words) then point towards the final mystery.
