TOZO T20

TOZO T20 Review

Welcome to my review of the TOZO T20 Bluetooth earbuds.

This is the second product I have reviewed from TOZO, so I was excited to check the product out to see how it compared to the previous hardware I reviewed from them.

For the purpose of my review, I was sent the black pair. There are four colour choices, black, blue, green, and red.

The Hardware

Opening the well-presented box we can see our new earbuds charging case, some quick start guides, five pairs of tips, and a USB-C charging cable.

So, straight to the point, these earbuds are better than the speaker I previously reviewed from TOZO.

For a start, the TOZO T20 earbuds cost less than £40 at the time of writing, and have some pretty good features. One of which is wireless charging. Personally, I have not seen wireless charging on earbuds with such a low price. If you don’t have a wireless charger, don’t worry as you can charge via the onboard USB-C port.

These earbuds are very comfortable and feel quite light. So they do not feel like a burden to wear. They also seem to stay in my ears just fine even with wobbling my head around a bit. I imagine these could fall out when out for a jog or a run, but they would be just fine for those who prefer to walk.

If you get caught in a pinch, the TOZO T20 earbuds offer IPX8 protection. This means that they can be submerged in water that is deeper than 1 meter for around 30 minutes. Essentially this means that if it starts raining whilst you’re out and about, it won’t matter too much as your earbuds should survive just fine.

IPX8 does not offer dust protection, so if you’re a sun worshipper who likes to go to the beach, then be careful. I imagine you’d be absolutely fine, but worth noting.

Sound quality wise, I’ve heard better from the likes of Edifier or Soundcore. But, they cost a bit more than these earbuds. So, as always, it’s very budget dependant. At sub £40 you can not go wrong in my humble opinion.

It took a little bit of playing for me to get both earbuds synced to my phone at the same time so they worked properly as a pair. I think this was me being a bit of a plonker, because once I got them working properly they were absolutely fine.

There’s also a little LED screen on the case that shows the remaining charge of not only the case, but also the left and right earbuds.

For those of you who like to play around with settings to get the right sound, there is a TOZO app available on iOS and Android. You can mess around with the EQ in here as well as other things like upgrading the firmware of your earbuds. The app also contains a lot of “carefully recorded” white noise tracks to help you out.

Conclusions

The TOZO T20 Bluetooth earbuds are a pleasant surprise that offer reasonably good sound quality at a low price of £39.99. I quite like that wireless charging is included in this low price bracket, as well as other cool features such as the LED display and IPX8 water resistance.

Sure, there are better Bluetooth earbuds out there, but you will also pay the premium for them.

I give the TOZO T20 earbuds a 7/10.
