Soundcore Motion 300

Soundcore Motion 300 Review

Welcome to my review of the Soundcore Motion 300 Bluetooth speaker. I was kindly sent this for review so continue reading to find out more about the device. You may know that I am a big fan of Soundcore products as they offer fantastic quality and sound for reasonable prices.

When you’re done here, if you wish to, you can check out our previous hardware reviews.

The Hardware

When I was offered the Motion 300 for review, I snapped it up without hesitation because I know just how good Soundcore equipment usually is. The Soundcore Motion 300 is no exception. It’s a brilliant bit of kit that will set you back £89.99 if bought at RRP. At the time of writing, Amazon has this speaker on offer for £79.99, which is a bargain for the kit you’re getting here.

We don’t get much in the box. There is the speaker, a quick setup leaflet, and a USB-C charge cable.

Soundcore Motion 300

It’s a Bluetooth speaker, that has 30W stereo sound with impressive bass levels for the size of the device. It has Soundcores “Bass Up” button to push the bass even further. The button does just that, but doesn’t cause any distortion, vibrations, crackling, anything. It just pushes the bass up without comprising other areas of the speaker. I love that about this speaker and also other Soundcore devices that have the Bass Up tech.

On top of that, the Soundcore Motion 300 supports wireless Hi-Res sound and it’s also IPX7 rated, which is one of the highest ratings for waterproofing on tech. IPX7 means the speaker can be submerged in 1 metre of water for 30 minutes and will suffer zero damage. Of course, there are limitations to that.

What I mean I believe salt water can decrease the chances of it surviving that 1 metre for 30 minutes. I may be wrong on that though. Also it doesn’t mean any liquid. For example if you drop it in gasoline, or hydrocholric acid or something… It won’t survive.

Well it might, but I’ll leave that to you to try. Let me know in the comments if it survives that.

This speaker has up to 13-hours of playback time, but as always with my experience with Soundcore products, it seems to last triple that for me. I don’t get it. I am certain Soundcore has come across some meteor that fell to Earth eons ago and are keeping it a secret.

You may have noticed that little bit of material hanging out of the side. This is so you can carry the speaker with ease. Around your wrist, strapped to a bag, even the headrest of your car. It’s pretty useful to be fair.

To round up my thoughts, I really like the design of this product and I think you’d struggle to get better for the price.

Key Features – Thanks to the Soundcore site for these.

  • Wireless Hi-Res Sound: Elevate your outdoor audio experience with Wireless Hi-Res sound. You won’t find a better audio experience in a speaker this small.
  • SmartTune Technology: Motion 300 portable speaker’s exclusive adaptive technology automatically adjusts to the direction and orientation of the speaker to deliver the best sound in any scenario.
  • Powerful Sound, Portable Design: With powerful 30W stereo sound in the palm of your hand, you don’t have to sacrifice sound quality when you’re on the go.
  • Ultra-Long Playback Time: With the impressive 13-hour playback time, you can keep the music going all day and night without missing a beat.

Conclusions

As always, Soundcore has knocked it out of the park with the Soundcore Motion 300. It has alien tech for battery life as it lasts forever, it sounds very good, and the design is very nice and compact for the sound it puts out.

In short, this speaker will easily fill a room in your house without causing any distortion to your music.

I score the Soundcore Motion 300 a 10/10.
