Welcome to my review of the TOZO PA1 Bluetooth Speaker. This is the first time I have heard of this brand, so I was excited to check the product out.
The Hardware
Opening the pretty well-presented box we can see our new speaker, some quick start guides, a wrist lanyard, and a USB-C charging cable.
Weight-wise, it doesn’t weigh too much for the size. It comes in at around 590g, which isn’t too much if you like to take your speaker with you and chuck it in your bag on a walk or to the park, for example.
The TOZO PA1 has six buttons on the top. There is, power, a Bluetooth pairing button, volume buttons, a play/pause button, and an equaliser button to easily swap out the EQ.
Speaking of the equaliser, out of the box this speaker sounded very rough. I did not like it one bit when I first heard it. However, after playing around with the EQ settings in the TOZO mobile app, I found a relatively comfortable sound for this speaker.
I’ve heard better from the likes of Soundcore, but they cost a bit more than this speaker. So, it’s very budget dependant.
One issue is that I’ve read online that this speaker only has one actual speaker inside of it. I done a bit of research and found a YouTube video showing a tear down from a channel named “SpeakerBlowUpMan Lee”. Rightly so, there is only one speaker, and I assume a subwoofer of sorts inside. Therefore, this means (and don’t quote me on this) that the TOZO site saying it has “stereo” is kind of fibbing in a way as I perceive stereo as being two speakers working together but outputting separate left and right channels.
I could be wrong, let me know in the comments if I am and I’ll update this review asap. 😁

Conclusions
The real let down for me was the fact it only has one speaker and says it’s stereo sound. The Tozo PA1 is not a bad piece of hardware to purchase for under £70, at the time of writing.
Sure, there are better speakers out there, but you will also pay the premium for them.
I give the Tozo PA1 a 6/10.
